GreenTop is by far the BEST mechanical contractor that I have found in the Seattle area. I'm an Architect/Developer and for my own home, i collected 5 different bids for a new minisplit heat pump in our garage rec room. GreenTop gave me the best price (by far) and then provided excellent service, which is too often not what one receives from the lowest bidder. Everyone that I dealt with at GreenTop was professional, honest, communicative, and went above and beyond to make sure they exceeded our expectations. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend GreenTop to everyone I can.
UPDATE: we used GreenTop again to add more mini-split heat pumps in our old 1907 house. Ruslan came out multiple times to help us design the most efficient and cost effective system to cover all rooms of our house without having to do any construction work. All new lines run on the outside of the house and come into thru small 2" holes in the house exterior that GreenTop cut and sealed. GreenTop even delivered the covers for the exterior lines weeks before their installation, so I could paint the covers to match our house exterior and make them virtually invisible. I'm super happy with our new system design and installation and continue to recommend GreenTop to everyone I can.
This week was our third time using Green Top Heating for work at our dance studio, Dance Conservatory Seattle. They have been extremely fast & responsive with communication. They were able to come out the next day and repair our heating unit. We are extremely grateful for Yarek who was fast and efficient in determining and fixing the issue, with a reasonable rate. Andres and Kristina did a great job. They came, provided a great analysis of our heating issue, and ended up providing us a recommendation to purchase a small thermometer device. And they didn't charge anything. These guys care about delivering a result. Love it!
Five starts for Greentop Heating and cooling!
Our Rheem brand gas furnace stopped working several days before Thanksgiving. We had a competitor company come to our place for a diagnostic and they told us that the problem was the motherboard and some type of switch. When the motherboard and switch were both in the technician observed that a THIRD part was needed--a serial communication memory module, which was on severe back order from Rheem. Long story short, we spent the entire winter without a furnace! (kept warm with a hodgepodge of fireplace insert, infrared ceiling panels and portable heaters). By early February, we still did not have a working furnace! We asked WA Energy to refund the diagnostic fee (they did) and reached out to Greentop Heating and Cooling because of their stellar reviews on Yelp. Guess what? Greentop revealed that our motherboard is not even broken! The simple problem was the interface between the furnace and the thermostat. They fixed it in 24 hours and we have been enjoying (finally!) a warm home for a fraction of the price that WA Energy had quoted us. Greentop was extremely responsive, had clear communication, charged a fair price, and was quickly and accurately able to get our heat back on. If he ever need ANYTHING in the realm of heating and/or cooling in the future, Greentop will be at the TOP of our rolodex!!!!
Green top was quick to my initial request. Tech Yaroslav was early and didnt waste anytime diagnosing the issue which thankfully was minor this time. No cost! furnace was up and running within 20 minutes of his arrival. I will be calling on them again in the future should my needs change and telling all my friends. I appreciate the honest integrity and the fact that did not slam me with some hidden cost.

Green Top Heating provided the best estimate to replace my 40 year old broken home furnace. Unlike other HVAC contractors, they didn't charge for a diagnostic service visit. The installation of the new furnace into the former tight location in the middle of the house and the connection to existing ducts, took only four hours. The service tech laid down floor covering leaving the carpet clean. They also applied for a Seattle mechanical permit, registered the system and scheduled an inspection. The project cost included a senior discount.
We just had a great experience with Oleskii. He came out in a reasonable time, worked super fast and explained the problem with our furnace. There was no diagnostic charge and he was so kind. God bless him and this company for coming out so quick during the winter time on a weekend morning. God is good.
End to end excellent service on our heat pump installation. They provided us a very consultative quote with several options to meet our needs. The estimate was far less than other companies for the same equipment. Once we selected GreenTop, they were able to start installation within 2 business days. They did a great job on installation and the owner even called to check in and ensure I was happy. The inspectors said all was installed well. We’re very happy with the experience and would recommend GreenTop to others.
I had a fantastic experience with Greentop when they installed a heat pump system for me. What really set them apart from the other quotes I got was their creativity and problem-solving skills in figuring out the best way to run refrigerant lines without making them an eye sore. They don’t just opt for the approach that's the least amount of work for them; they really work with you to design a solution that fits your space and your needs.
On top of that, their pricing is excellent--by far the least of the quotes I got. When installation day came (just one week after accepting their quote) they rolled up with an 8 man crew and completed the entire job in a single day. The inspection passed without any issues.
